How many companions can you bring?
A party has room for five members in total, including players and companions. You can recruit up to four companions, but a human friend also takes a party slot. This creates room for a company built around one player or a mix of friends and companions.
For example, a spellcaster might travel with a shield-bearer, healer, hunter, and melee fighter. That is one possible setup, not a required party composition. Your choices can change as you learn what your own build needs.
Develop their talents and equipment
Companions use the same nine talent trees and work toward their own final forms. Spend their talent points and choose their weapons, armor, tools, and mounts. Compare the 45 final forms when planning the roles you want around you.
Gathering and crafting also support your company: materials can become equipment for companions as well as for your own character. See the trade-skill guide for that side of progression.
Lead through commands and loyalty
Order companions to follow, stay, guard, or attack your target. Their traits and loyalty are part of getting to know the company you lead. A stronger bond can lower wages and improve their combat strength.
Companion behavior and balance are still being tested. The system gives players who enjoy party-based RPGs another reason to follow Mythria, while leaving room for feedback about commands, roles, and reliability.
Give your companions a home
Hired companions have wages. Giving one a home in your settlement removes that wage. You can also send companions on errands or put their skills to work bringing resources back while you pursue another adventure.
Your settlement connects the party to a place in the world: room for your own home and four companion homes. Building a company and building somewhere for it to belong are connected parts of Mythria’s design.
For players who like leading their own party
If you enjoy choosing a party’s equipment and roles, or exploring with familiar companions at your side, start here. Companions give a solo player more party-building choices inside Mythria’s shared online world.
This does not mean every encounter is balanced for solo completion. Features and availability can vary by test build. Read the alpha access details before expecting a finished game.
